Parents Guide to a Healthy Lunchbox

If you wish to send your child in with a packed lunch please make sure the lunch is nutritious and filling. Have a look at our guide above. Some tips!

Please do

Provide your child with a protein filled sandwich/pasta or rice pot

Make sure your child has at least one piece of fruit or vegetable with their lunch.

Try to avoid sugary drinks like Capri Sun - water or milk or a small carton of pure juice is better.

Please do not

Send cold fish fingers/chicken/pizza/burger for your child to eat.

Send in a bag of crisps every day - choose one day a week for crisps (Friday is good)

Give your child a plain croissant or doughnut instead of a sandwich

Send in peanuts or other types of nuts

Send in sweets or lollipops at lunchtime

Thank you for providing your child with a great quality lunch.

It makes sure they have great energy to learn well in the afternoon.
