If you wish to send your child in with a packed lunch please make sure the lunch is nutritious and filling. Have a look at our guide above. Some tips!

Please do

Provide your child with a protein filled sandwich/pasta or rice pot

Make sure your child has at least one piece of fruit or vegetable with their lunch.

Try to avoid sugary drinks like Capri Sun - water or milk or a small carton of pure juice is better.

Please do not

Send cold fish fingers/chicken/pizza/burger for your child to eat.

Send in a bag of crisps every day - choose one day a week for crisps (Friday is good)

Give your child a plain croissant or doughnut instead of a sandwich

Send in peanuts or other types of nuts

Send in sweets or lollipops at lunchtime

Thank you for providing your child with a great quality lunch.

It makes sure they have great energy to learn well in the afternoon.

Pupils Representatives Tasting the Meal Choices from the new menus

Representatives from each class took part in some food tasting in order to create the new menu. If they like it it goes on, if they don't it doesn't!
