School Dinners - I Shine Catering
Our school meals are cooked fresh and on site by our in-school catering team - I Shine Catering
The menus are on a 3 week rotation and change termly to include fruits and vegetables in season. Children choose their meal at the beginning of each day during registration.
Children will have a hot lunch in the hall 2 days a week (dining room menu) They will have a hot lunch in their classroom 2 days a week (classroom menu) On Fridays they will have a sandwich lunch.
School dinners are charged at £2.34 per day or £11.70 for the week.
Payments are made through Parent Pay. The school office can help you with this.

Representatives from each class took part in some food tasting in order to create the new menu. If they like it it goes on, if they don't it doesn't! This term's tasters were like real food critics!

Children whose parents receive the following support payments are entitled to receive free school dinners:

You can return this form and the documents to prove that you are in receipt of these support payments to the school office.
If your child is entitled to a free school dinner but has a packed lunch please complete the paperwork anyway. This is a big help to the school.

If you wish to send your child in with a packed lunch please make sure the lunch is nutritious and filling. Have a look at our guide above. Some tips!
Please do
Provide your child with a protein filled sandwich/pasta or rice pot
Make sure your child has at least one piece of fruit or vegetable with their lunch.
Try to avoid sugary drinks like Capri Sun - water or milk or a small carton of pure juice is better.
Please do not
Send cold fish fingers/chicken/pizza/burger for your child to eat.
Send in a bag of crisps every day - choose one day a week for crisps (Friday is good)
Give your child a plain croissant or doughnut instead of a sandwich
Send in peanuts or other types of nuts
Send in sweets or lollipops at lunchtime

It makes sure they have great energy to learn well in the afternoon.
