The reception classes received a very special visit from Michael and Emma. They brought a selection of animals that live in the rainforest for the children to meet and hold.
Animals that the children met included; a skunk, a ferret, an armadillo, a black Brazilian tarantula, a tortoise, an owl and a snake!
The children really enjoyed the session and they were very brave!
Superheroes reach the Orion!
We supported the charity Children in Need by dressing as our favourite superheroes and donating some money. A big thank you to everyone who gave a donation and sponsored their teachers. Some of us dressed as ourselves because we are ALL superheroes!
Recognise the hero in YOU!
Look who the Orion kids met at the aquarium! We had lots of fun and saw lots of different types of fish. We even walked over some sharks who were swimming underneath us! T
alk to your child about their day at the aquarium, can they remember which fish they saw?
The children were very well behaved and made us proud. A big thank you to the parents who volunteered and were chosen to help.
At The Orion we had a special "Our Orion History Week". As part of the celebrations we all came to school dressed in either traditional dress from our countries or wore the colours of our flags. A big thank you to all the parents and carers who brought in a lot of yummy food for us to try! We all really enjoyed tasting them.
We were super lucky to get Christmas presents from Santa! He visited us during our pyjama party. Don't we look cool! Our teachers wore their pyjamas too.
